Of Stigmatology synopsis

What if our existence is the product of its interruptions? What if the words that govern our lives are the same as the periods and intervals that come to an end, or our images through the cinematic cuts that distinguish them? Are we, like the Chekhov writer, who dreams of chasing him with exclamation marks of anger, or Jake La Mota of Scorsese, stained with blood after war one by one, the products of punctuation or as Peter Szeindi asks us to think about it, is it the hole? From the science of stigmas puts for the first time a general theory of punctuation. Beginning with punctuation in the proper sense, Peter Szeinde continues to trace the effects of punctuation on a wider scale, arguing that looking and listening are not passive reception, but reflect the images and sounds they capture. Texts and traditions, from medical hearing to literature (Chekhov, Stern, Kafka), philosophy (Hegel, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Derrida), psychoanalysis (Lacan) and the film (Taurus, Trial, Fight Club).

Again and again, what Szeinde finds in these works are signs of the same experience, which seeks (and fails to finally) relate to the subject itself. This is a description of the punctuation marks on the page that build texts from old to digital, as well as the experience of the experiment, as if by a boxer..
