The Origin of Christology synopsis

This book revolves around the processes initiated by Christians in the first century who understand Jesus as they did. Some writers represent this "evolutionary", as if only a human teacher had been regarded as a divine personality (a new type, so to speak).

Professor Molly suggests that "development" is a favorite metaphor, which means that a new type of form has not evolved, but the evolution of understanding of what has existed in Jesus from the very beginning. The author reviews four distinct themes about Jesus as the Son of Man, Son of God, Christ and Lord.

The reflection in Pauline's letters of Jesus' experience is more than the individual. In his final chapter, Professor Moley speculates, in an interview with Dr.

Hadon Wilmer, on the implications of his discoveries in the Christian faith. The book, which won the Catholic Bible Book Award at the Biennale in 1977, is represented by his lectures in 1974 in Melbourne, Australia.

It was first published in June 1977.
