The 47-year-old Bills helicopter, which was dramatically filmed in the famous television series M.A.SH, was the first civilian-approved helicopter in March 1946 and continued to offer a wide range of military and civilian applications. Through the characteristic bubble-like umbrella, the 47 model, especially the H-13 Sioux, was introduced in Korea and Vietnam.

He has become a proponent of civil aviation with a variety of uses: Aerial air sprayer, air fire extinguishing, police work, air oil exploration, medical insurance, news coverage, and postal service. More than 5600 model 47 were built, many of them under license in Japan, Italy and the United Kingdom.

The species retains its popularity in the civilian market to this day.
