Reflective practice has moved from the margins to mainstream vocational education. However, in this process, its radical potential has been incorporated through individual understandings, rather than fall, from practice. Presenting critical views that challenge the current model, this book aims to transcend reflexive practice. Proposes new concepts and introduces new approaches that are relevant across professions.

Contributors include both academics and practitioners involved in the training and development of professionals.

The definitions of meditation (which are often implicit) often focus on an individual's internal thinking processes and responsibility for his actions.

The individual is emphasized - what they have done / thought / felt - with little recognition of context, dynamics of power or ideological challenge. This book presents the work of practitioners, teachers, academics and researchers who see this as a problem, and are moving towards a more critical approach to reflective practice. With an overview of editors and fourteen chapters on new concepts, professional perspectives and new practices, post-reflective practice examines new forms of professional reflective practice that emerge.

It examines, in particular, the relationships between practitioners and practitioners. Looks at the ways in which the world of professional work changes and the ways in which professional practices must change to meet the needs of this new world.
