Bioinformatics synopsis

Bioinformatics is a relatively new field of research. The condition has evolved from the processing, characterization, and application of information produced by DNA sequencing technology.

DNA sequence data continue to grow significantly. At the same time, improved bioinformatics, such as rapid DNA sequencing, was combined with increasingly powerful computer systems to process this information.

More detailed quantitative assessment methods for gene expression are being developed, and insight into the function of newly discovered genes is being provided, while molecular genetic tools provide a link between these genes and inherited traits. Genetic testing is now available to determine the likelihood of certain diseases suffering and can predict how plant varieties respond to the environment.

The steps are understood to translate the genotype of the phenotype increasingly observed through analysis of proteins, metabolism and phenomics, all of which are based on advances in bioinformatics. Bioinformatics has become increasingly essential to the study of biology, and today can save one day on a computer a year or more in the laboratory. The volume aims at postgraduate biology students as well as researchers who wish to gain a better understanding of applied biomedical information and who wish to use biotechnological techniques to assist in their research.

Volume will also be of value to bioinformatics developers, especially those from the background of computing, who want to understand the application of mathematical research tools. Each chapter includes a comprehensive introduction that provides an overview of the basics, which aims to introduce graduate students and researchers from diverse backgrounds to the field and inform them of the state of current knowledge. To accommodate a wide range of topics in applied bioinformatics, the chapters were grouped into topics: gene and genome analysis, molecular genetic analysis, gene expression analysis, protein and protein analysis, metabolic analysis, phenotypic data mining, Each chapter provides a subject and an introduction to the biology behind the data describing the data processing requirements and details of some of the methods applied to the data to enhance the biological understanding..
