Breakthroughs in Statistics Vol 3 synopsis
This is the third volume of a collection of scientific papers in the statistical sciences that have been written over the last 110 years. All these papers have had a significant impact on the development of statistical theory and practice over the last century.
Each introductory paper is preceded by an authority in the field providing background information and assessing its impact. The third volume is in harmony with articles from the 1980s, with some of the previous articles not included in the first and second volumes.
Samuel Coates is Professor of Statistics at the School of Business and Management at the University of Maryland. Norman L.
