Cambridge Classical Texts and Commentaries Cicero synopsis

Professor Shackleton Bayley's letter from Cicero to Atticus, also published in the Cambridge series of classic texts and commentaries, was generally recognized as a landmark achievement. Professor Shackleton Billy now presents his edition of the second main body of Cicero's correspondence - his messages to his friends.

Unlike the Atticus folders, this edition does not contain translation (will be published elsewhere), making it possible to collect all messages and comments into only two folders. Which includes a re-evaluation of the tradition of manuscripts, followed by text critics and fully revised instruments.

The commentary covers many text problems, interpretation, history, biography, and sequence of characters. Both folders contain indexes.

This edition is intended for use by students and specialists in Roman literature and history.
