Dedicated to providing, in English, contributions to philosophical understanding originated in German,contemporary Germanphilosophy will be the yearbook after volumes review period 1960-80. CGP's goal is not to replace German as a philosophical discourse, but to provide a reader who is more at home in English some points of access to such modern and contemporary pivotal contributions that originated in Germany on behalf of the English translation can be chosen.
In selecting articles in German for translation, some preference is given to authors, most of whom have not yet appeared in English. The original articles will be presented to German researchers, and reviews and comments will be made by a global group of scientists who are interested in German philosophical traditions.
CCP is open to a full range of interests and philosophical orientations that philosophy in German and tradition contributes. It is also open to elements that look at the trends of visions within allied fields such as mathematics, political science, history, and linguistics in philosophical issues.
The term "contemporary" is meant to refer, not to any particular style of philosophy, but to the newly created philosophical literature.
