When Mary R. died.

Haas in 1996, leaving behind several thousand pages of memos and texts in the language of the Creek (Muskogee) collected in Oklahoma from 1936 to 1940. Most of the texts come from unpublished writings of James Hill.

Eufaula, a particularly knowledgeable elderly who wrote texts for Dr. Haas using the standard cricket alphabet.

Twelve other speakers served as sources of the texts granted.
