French New Novel synopsis
The most important development in recent French novels is the new Roman novel, The New Novel, which was first observed in the mid-1950s and later became influential throughout the world. Characterized by the disregard of chronology, the emergence of objects and space, the replacement of the pattern of conspiracy, the non-traditional treatment of dialogue, and a new approach to nature, has provoked, and sometimes antagonistic, critics and public readers in rejecting the traditional Platzian novel.
