Missing Persons synopsis

Missing persons are memoirs about dealing with death in a culture that does not offer any help. Green goes through rapid succession losses, the first of which is her aunt's aunt, sudden and unexpected, and then the death of her mother, the painful death at home.

As someone who has not changed a diaper until then, it is not surprisingly equipped to meet the challenges of caring for a dying person. Nor is it prepared to face other, long-suppressed losses, which were superficial at this time: the suicide of her younger brother and the death of her father.

As the professional identity on which she is based on her selfishness becomes weak and intimidated, she jumps to the questions of "Who am I?" And "What have you done in my life?" Green's memoir was written as a story of her mother's days, her final destination and the year after, the year Green builds her life up to the landscape around her spells. Her beautiful California grove has been drilled in the beautiful Santa Clara Valley groves that have been dug and pitted for housing, commercial centers, and highways - the valley is converted to "silicon".

This becomes parallel in a strong story about the family and the home: what it means to be one, to lose it, to never succeed it, and what may take its place.
