On the Existence of Evils synopsis

Proclus '' On The Existence of Evils '' is not a comment, but it helps to offset the scarcity of modern Platonic moral comments. The central question that has been addressed in the work is: How can there be evil in the world of feeding? Neoplatonists agree that they can not be caused by higher and higher beings.

Aflatinus had said that evil was an order, which, unlike Aristotle, collapsed in mere deprivation or deficiency, thus reducing its reality. It also protects the higher causes of responsibility by saying that evil may result from a combination of goods.

Proclus: Evil is real, not deprivation. It is a parasite that feeds well.

Parasites do not have an appropriate reason, and then higher organisms emerge as the only reasons for good that is fueled by evil.
