People and Place synopsis

In this last volume of a four-volume series, Michael Horton explores the origin, mission, and destiny of the Church through the lens of theology. On the grounds that the history of Israel and the covenant of grace provide the proper context for church science in the New Testament, Horton then shows how the Church is formed through the ascension of Christ, Pentecost, and Baroque, and how it continues to live through the Word and the Secrets.

Horton's goal is to demonstrate the potential of a unified model to integrate church themes as a sweep and place, with urgent attention to contemporary practice.
