Post Conflict Archaeology and Cultural Heritage synopsis

The human cost of any conflict is, of course, the primary concern in terms of reduction, if not elimination of damage. However, the destruction of monuments and heritage as a result of civil and international wars is also a major concern, and the loss of irreversible impacts and sites through conflict has been increasingly discussed and documented in recent years.

Archeology and cultural heritage in post-conflict collect a collection of papers from archaeologists and archaeologists looking for positive, practical and practical ways to deal with conflict-affected sites. For example, by showing that damaged cultural heritage and archaeological sites damaged by conflict are a valuable resource rather than an inevitable victim of war, and suggesting that archaeologists use their skills and knowledge to bring together communities, give them ownership, and identify cultural heritage. The book is a combination of discussion problems, proposed planning solutions and case studies for both archaeologists and heritage managers.

It will be of interest to heritage professionals, archaeologists and anyone working with post-conflict societies, as well as anthropology, archeology, heritage academics and their students at different levels.
