Purely Functional Data Structures synopsis
Most books assume binding language data structures such as C or C ++. However, the data structure for these languages is not always translated well into functional languages such as Standard ML, Haskell, or Scheme.
This book describes data structures from the point of view of functional languages, with examples, and provides design techniques so that programmers can develop their own functional data structures. It includes both classic data structures, such as black red trees and binoculars, and a set of new data structures developed exclusively for functional languages. All source code is given in Standard ML and Haskell, and most programs can easily be adapted to other functional languages.
This useful reference can also be used for professional programmers who work with functional languages as an educational program or for self-study.
