The Intellectual Revolution is a reader designed for students who have just completed an introductory course in Ancient Greek and want to read large passages from the original authors in the original language. Three of the most important authors of Ancient Greece, Euripides, Thucydides and Plato, include powerful and powerful stories such as Medeia (as told by the Euripides); the sinister Sicilian Athenians (from the history of Thucydides) and the life and death of Socrates.

The notes accompanying each section provide extensive help with vocabulary and translation, each section contains a brief introduction to the author and his work. The first edition of the book proved a great success with students and coaches for more than three decades.

This second edition includes the same texts as the first but provides more translation and understanding assistance in order to better meet the needs of modern students.
