Situated Learning in Translator and Interpreter Training synopsis

Learning is usually understood as a context-based approach to interpreter and interpreter training in which learners are exposed to real and / or high-level collaborative and collaborative work environments and tasks both inside and outside the classroom. Ultimately, the learning site seeks to enhance the ability of learners to think and act like professionals.

This book is designed to measure the impact of different factors on the implementation of learning models in different learning and learning contexts. It provides an understanding of site learning beyond past interpretations of this concept, which is usually dominated by debate about educational practices in authentic professional environments, in the real or semi-professional world.

This broader range of education in educational sites includes contextual factors that were previously underrepresented with translation traditions, historical trends, societal beliefs and customs, socio-economic constraints, market conditions, institutional practices, budgetary issues, or availability of resources. The pedagogical considerations of these fundamental aspects make this book especially useful for novice and experienced translation and translation teachers, with an emphasis on practical and informed advice on how to apply the principles of learning in education to collaborative learning and learning environments that seek to enhance translators and / or professional competence of translators.

This book was originally published as a special issue by a translator and interpreter.
