Social Communication synopsis

This folder is dedicated to the cool social topic - great because the connection is everywhere, where one cannot communicate. However, the art of effective communication can be very difficult and elusive, because the difficult problem of barter must be solved.

In order for the connection to be successful, it must be immediately beneficial - somehow pointing to the intended direction of thought or action - as well as invisible - in some way hiding basic intentions and goals. Failure to meet the above criterion renders uncontrolled and random communication; Failure to meet the latter raises suspicion and reactions.

The chapters in this volume focus on the tools and references that social media has developed to deal with this challenging trade-off. They represent notable examples of current research in the interface of communication and social psychology, presented by leading scholars who have played critical roles in the development of these models.

The sixteen chapters are grouped into four main sections: Communication within and between groups and cultures. Strategic communication; Social media, influence and regulation of behavior; Social communication and adaptive behavior regulation.

Individual chapters are dedicated to interesting topics such as stereotypes and intergroup affairs, language and culture, deception and lie detection, persuasion, group discussions, conversation logic, nonverbal cues, the implicit effects of conversation, the influence of conversation positions and social distance, and the development of verbal communication. The volume is framed with an introduction and a conclusion. Social networking is a basic reading for senior graduates, alumni and researchers working in the field of social media, language and social psychology, and related fields in social sciences such as communication sciences, linguistics and gender studies..
