Spectral and Chemical Characterization of Organic Compounds synopsis

This book combines the information that a student may need in the laboratory to characterize organic compounds - their main chemical reactions and spectral properties. For the third edition of the famous student text, the authors included the theoretical basis for the chemical tests described and expanded the sections of the spectral analysis.

In particular, chart layout - both chemical and spectral - has been improved. Fusion point tables were adjusted in light of the current availability of organic compounds. A basic knowledge of the theoretical principles of spectroscopy is assumed.

Methodological names are used all the time although old trivial names are still commonly used, provided in addition. The book also includes a section on the characterization of pharmaceutical compounds for pharmacy students.

Introduction to the first edition; introduction of the second edition, introduction to the third edition; laboratory safety initial tests, chemical and spectroscopic characterization of functional groups; chromatographic methods of separation of organic mixtures. Derivatives Preparation: Tables of organic compounds and their derivatives.

Pharmaceutical compounds.
