The feast of Corpus Christi, a Latin church festival, can be attributed to the fourth Lateran Church in 1215 and its resolution of disputes over the nature of the Eucharist. This feast was first celebrated at GE in 1246, thanks in large part to the efforts of a religious woman, Juliana of Mount Cornillon, who not only celebrated the feast but wrote key elements in the original office.
