The Matching Law synopsis

This collection includes the most important and most important contributions of Richard Hernstein in social and behavioral sciences - his papers on the behavior of selection in animals and humans and its discovery and clarification of the principle of general selection called the law of conformity. In recent years, the most popular selection theory has been rational selection theory.

Has been developed and developed by economists over the last 100 years and claims that individuals choose to maximize their well-being or benefit under any constraints they face; that is, people benefit from their best. The theory of rational choice holds undisputed influence in the economy and has become an important explanatory framework in political science, sociology and psychology. However, their empirical support is few.

Perhaps the corresponding law is the most important figurative calculation of the behavior of choice. Selection is not seen as one event or an internal process of the organism, but as an average of events that can be observed over time.

States that instead of maximizing utility, the organism allocates its behavior through various activities that are fully commensurate with the value derived from each activity. It differs enormously but largely from rational choice theory in its predictions of how people exercise self-control, for example, how they decide whether to relinquish immediate pleasures for greater but later rewards.

It provides, through the Spring Flower Path hypothesis, a powerful interpretation of alcohol and drug addiction. It can also be used to explain biological phenomena, such as genetic selection and research behavior, as well as economic decision-making..
