The Waterman synopsis
According to the memoirs of a staff officer in General George Washington, The Waterman tells the seemingly impossible transport of fifty-nine guns 300 miles from Earth and water from Ft. Ticonderoga to Boston in the winter of the winter of 1776.
These guns gave General Washington the missing artillery he badly needed for his first stunning victory over invincible British troops. During this two-month-long heroic exploitation, harsh weather and bold attacks by ruthless British spies, the hero of the story, face the continental lieutenant Dan Saunders with the cunning and bold courage.
With his devoted wife, Paul Williams, a former pirate and slave, the couple led a volunteer crew to defeat and turn the tide in one of the most prominent early American achievements in the struggle for independence.
