Using BookEpub

These terms describe use of BookEpub as a book discovery and edition-information website. Read them alongside our legal notice, privacy policy and commercial disclosure. We do not treat browsing as consent to optional advertising or as a waiver of statutory rights.

Catalogue information and availability

An ISBN identifies a particular edition. Records can include paperbacks, hardbacks, scripts and digital editions. A title appearing in this catalogue does not establish that every digital format exists, that a free copy is available or that a retailer has stock. Historical archive records describe the source at the time of capture and may contain outdated information.

We aim to make edition information useful, but we cannot guarantee that every imported description, author attribution, publication date, category or external link is current or error-free. Source descriptions and BookEpub reading notes are distinguished where displayed. Verify material details with the publisher, retailer or library before making a decision.

External services and transactions

Retailer searches, reading previews and library links take you to another organisation. Amazon links search for an edition by ISBN; they are not a promise of a particular result, price, format or delivery. Preview, borrowing and download permissions depend on the external provider, the edition and your location. A library account, a waiting list, a payment or other conditions may apply.

BookEpub does not process payments, place orders, offer refunds for third-party purchases or provide account support for those services. Their terms govern your transaction. We do not require a software installation, a payment or an advertising click to reveal the catalogue information shown on our pages.

Permitted use

You may browse and link to BookEpub for lawful purposes. Do not use the service to gain unauthorised access, interfere with operation, submit malicious requests, impersonate another person or abuse a contact channel. Access to this website does not grant a licence to redistribute book texts, cover art, photographs or third-party descriptions.

Intellectual property and reports

Books, author names, cover art, photographs, trademarks and source descriptions remain subject to their respective rights. BookEpub’s own writing and presentation do not transfer ownership of underlying works. Open data or openly licensed images may have attribution and reuse conditions. A translation, rewrite or archived copy does not automatically remove copyright restrictions. Read the copyright page to report specific material.

Service limitations and legal rights

The catalogue can change, become temporarily unavailable or contain an external link that stops working. We may correct, restrict or remove a record where appropriate. Reading notes are informational and do not replace professional advice on a medical, legal, financial or other specialist topic discussed in a book.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, removes mandatory consumer protections or limits applicable data-protection rights. We do not impose an invented jurisdiction, compulsory arbitration or a blanket waiver of responsibility. Contact the publisher about a dispute or concern so the relevant facts can be reviewed.
